El Botxo restaurant, responsible for providing the essence of traditional Basque cuisine, is a must for gourmets. We have chosen basically traditional quality Basque cuisine, but we bring in small innovations to our dishes. Opened in 2000, it is becoming a culinary benchmark in Bilbao.

At El Botxo restaurant you will find dishes prepared and created with the best products in our region. It also has spacious rooms, a marquee and a terrace, perfect for weddings and banquets. All its rooms face outwards and have room for up to 300 people.

El Botxo offers free car park for all its services.

The menu of El Botxo is the result of a perfect balance between the various dishes of local cuisine. Natural products, the freshest sea food as well as the choicest country produce all appear on our menu, which will help you savour the best of Basque cuisine.

El Botxo restaurant offers you other occasions for you to enjoy your dishes together with your family, friends or work colleagues: special dinners and lunches that we prepare for the Semana Grande Festivals (during the third week in August) and to celebrate Christmas.




Wine is an essential accompaniment to a good meal, and so El Botxo restaurant has an exclusive cellar with the best wines. We recommend you have with your dish a Baron de Ley Reserva 95, or a Marques de Caceres, if you like rose wines. And to round off the meal, we suggest the Juve Camps Reserva Familia.
