Lanzarote, Spain

A landscape for every moment

Discover a paradise forged by volcanoes on Lanzarote

Lanzarote is a special island. Its volcanic landscapes contrast with the intense blue of the Atlantic Ocean, creating a unique colour palette.

This area is home to a very special natural beauty, but also the unique personality of the conejeros, as the locals as known, who have built a sustainable, eco-friendly tourism model.

Lanzarote is a Unesco biosphere reserve, where beyond the spectacular beaches you can lose yourself in seas of petrified lava at Timanfaya National Park.

And you won’t want to miss the architectural gems designed by artist César Manrique, one of the most fervent defenders of Lanzarote’s natural beauty. The spectacular Jameos del Agua are an example of the harmonious integration of nature and humanity you’ll find on the island.

Discover the natural treasures of the Island of Volcanoes

Incredible beaches, wild cliffs, old volcanoes, blankets of ash and seas of petrified lava are just some of the natural charms awaiting you on the island of Lanzarote.

One of the amazing spots you can visit is Cueva de los Verdes, a labyrinth of lava tubes that makes up the biggest network of volcanic caves in the world.

And if you need a relaxing dip, you’ll find calm natural saltwater pools at Charcones de Janubio. Some are deep, others shallow, but they all have crystal-clear waters that will make you want to set aside your mobile and enjoy the moment.

Relive history at Castillo de San José and Castillo del Águila

Castillo de San José was built in the 18th century to defend Arrecife against pirate attacks. In the 1970s, artist César Manrique convinced local authorities to restore it to use as a contemporary art museum and today it is home to works by Miró, Picasso, Tàpies and Manrique himself.

Castillo del Águila is in the south of the island and was also built to ward off pirates. From this spot, you can enjoy incredible views of Playa Blanca, the Strait of Bocaina and the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura.
